About Our Program

The 12 Note MAP

These lessons will be provided at a small fee, or free to any student of need base.

The 12 Note MAP has no intent to discriminate against any student that would like to learn about the music offered in the program.

The Appalachian style of music will be the most common musical style offered by MAP, but with a working knowledge of the 12 music notes, a student may learn any musical style of their desiring.

The rich music heritage of the Wilkes County, N.C. area is the pulse behind the MAP. The intent is to help bring music to any student that might otherwise not have a means to develop their desire to learn to play, dance to, or sing the music that is most common to the place they call home.

The 12 Note MAP is a non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible and will be used to purchase instruments, or to invest in the further success of the program.
